Happy Birthday MandyRowden! via @stacyamiller85 @MandyRowden #TheseBadHabits #1000Miles

A great singer uses their talent to reach people through a powerful voice that touches the emotions of the listener.

Singer/Songwriter Mandy Rowden is one of these singers.  When you hear her album These Bad Habits, she takes you on a musical journey with her haunting lyrics and amazing vocal range.  I began listening to Rowden’s music a year ago and I’ve become a die-heart fan and avid supporter. She has a commanding presence that draws you into the song.  I haven’t had the pleasure of seeing her perform live yet but hope to one day. I encourage everyone to give Mandy Rowden’s music a try, you won’t regret it.  In fact, it will  be the best habit you pick up this year.

So today September 8 on your birthday Mandy, I wish you continued happiness and success in your life and career.  And I thank you for allowing us to travel the musical road with you.  I look forward to going “1000 Miles” and more wherever you take us in song.

Here’s a poem from The Nerdy Girl Express writer and poet Tracy Diane Miller:

Walking 1000 miles towards musical perfection, a birthday poem for Mandy Rowden by Tracy Diane Miller

My heart will journey
With a song
My soul will walk
My emotions will carry me
Through tears I still talk
A song is my voice
My guide each day
Sorrow I don’t fear
For a tune will drive it away
Walking 1000 miles towards musical perfection
On weary feet
At the end of this journey
Salvation I greet
A poet will preserve my legacy
These Bad Habits
1000 Miles
Those songs I give
For you to believe
Remember the girl
With a heart as big as Texas
She wears on her sleeve
With music pouring through her veins
The inspiration she conveys
A poem to honor Mandy Rowden
On her birthday
