Heather Chandler. Sister. Friend. And all around great girl with a keen eye for fashion.
For four seasons on The CW’s Beauty and The Beast, Heather Chandler has been the spark in the crazy world of beasts. Nicole Anderson plays the character. As Catherine Chandler’s (Kristin Kreuk) little sister, she’s the kid sister we all wish we had. Although she has a penance for getting into trouble, she does so while trying to help. All Heather wants is for everyone to be happy and to have love in her life.
After a failed relationship resulting in a non-wedding, Heather happily “gave” her wedding to Cat, wanting for her sister to have a dream wedding. As a fashionista, Heather’s style is a lot different from Cat so obviously, Heather’s dream wedding was more upscale for the laid-back Cat. Heather and Catherine share a lovingly relationship that grew after the murder of their mother.
Heather has also become the ‘unofficial little sister’ of JT Forbes (Austin Basis). She often comes to him for advice or just to talk. The scenes with Nicole and Austin are some of my favorite and I’ve written about how they are the perfect ‘non-couple’ on the show. Austin Basis has mentioned many times what a pleasure Nicole Anderson is working with and it obviously shows whenever JT and Heather share screen time.
Heather and Tess haven’t had a lot of scenes where there is just the two of them but they are bonded by their love and concern for Cat and Vincent.
A hopeless romantic, Heather believes in happily-ever-after and wants that for Cat and Vincent. She hasn’t had much luck in the love department herself but still dreams of finding ‘Mr. Right.’ When she met EMT Kyle Johnson (Michael Roark), Heather embarked on a fast romance with him with the two ending up in bed less than a week after their first meeting. Heather pondered moving in with Kyle and was furious when she learned that he’d turned Cat and Vincent into DHS. Cat urged Heather to forgive Kyle as he was only looking out for her.
Thank you Nicole Anderson for giving Beauty and the Beast four fabulous years as the beloved Heather Chandler!
