Nashville ended it’s fifth season (And it’s first season on a new network, CMT) on Thursday, August 10.

But there is good news for fans of the country music drama.  Nashville will be returning for a sixth season in January 18. However, Season Six will only have 16 episodes as compared to the 22 episodes we saw in Season 5.

Spoiler Alert:  If you haven’t seen the Season 5 finale “Reasons to Quit” please do not continue reading.

The Season 5 finale saw complications for Highway 65, Deacon learning about Juliette stealing the song meant for Maddie and a reunion for Avery and Juliette.  What will Season 6 bring when Nashville returns this winter? Read what Executive Producer Marshall Herskovitz had to say:
