There’s a new superhero on The CW. And on January 16, we’ll meet him…he’s Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams) a.k.a Black Lightning. “The CW’s first African American superhero headliner unrolls the secrets of his past to protect his city and his family (IMDB).”

The episode is titled “Resurrection” Here is the synopsis from TV Guide: “A retired superhero is drawn back into his old lifestyle when his daughter seeks to serve justice to evil-doers in the series premiere.”
