How did you like The Flash midseason finale?

This episode was packed full of villains. Secrets were revealed that are going to make the rest of the season pretty interesting. 

This episode featured three villains, Captain Cold, Weather Wizard, and the man himself Mark Hamill as the Trickster, with a few scenes of Zoom. Hamill’s Trickster wasn’t as scary as I think they intended, but he had a Joker feel to him. After going to the other villains and asking them to help destroy the Flash together, The Trickster dressed up like Santa and gave out bombs as presents to children. I don’t really know how I feel about that that plot line, not a huge fan of shows and movies putting children is harm’s way, especially with bombs. Though no children were hurt, I found it a little distasteful. Just my opinion guys.

Barry’s relationship with Patty is getting more intense and they’re at the stage where they have to start telling each other their little secrets. After talking to the Flash, Patty lets it drop that she’s afraid to tell Barry her secret. She explains that her father was killed by Mark Mardon, Weather Wizard, and she became a cop to legally get revenge on him. She eventually told Barry, however, he has yet to tell her his super speedy secret. I like them together, hopefully she sticks around and Barry finally tells her who he is.

It was cute when Jay acted as if Earth 2 didn’t have Christmas and the traditions just to play with Caitlin. She’s so adorable with with her crush. I wonder where the show will take their awkward…..relationship…?

According to all the tweets I’ve been reading, the biggest shocker of the episode was Joe finding out he had a son. For Joe, it most definitely was quite the shocker. Iris finally told her dad, and Barry, that she had a brother named Wally West. Even after finding out about Wally, Joe still gave the watch his father gave him to Barry, and still called him son. I would love to have Joe as a dad, I think he’s a wonderful father.

And for the news that we’ve been expecting, I have anyways: Harry’s working with Zoom. Dun dun dun! He’s going to help Zoom steal Barry’s speed, all to save his daughter. Have we not learned, working with bad guys does not get you what you want? Barry finally forgave his own Harrison Wells in a really beautiful scene, but how is that healing process going to go when Barry learns of Harry’s intentions.

The midseason finale ended on a high note. During the gang’s Christmas gathering, someone comes to the door. As Joe opens it, standing there is Wally. As he introduced himself, Joe was not the only one with a tear in his eye, this girl right here had one too. Can’t wait to have Wally join the team when the season returns in January.

So there you have it folks. The show was definitely jammed packed with action, villains, secrets, and love. I’m really excited to continue the season and find out what’s in store for our gang…
