It was a Netflix kind of weekend, after a long couple of weeks of running all over the place for the holidays. I got nice and cozy on my favorite couch, with my favorite blanket and some snacks and watched a few movies. First up was The Guest.
I’ve seen this on my suggestions for quite some time, but just never got around to watching it. I’m actually glad that I finally got around to it because it was an interesting little thriller. It starts off with a soldier going to pay his respect to a fallen soldier’s family. He introduces himself as David Collins and tells the family, the Petersons, that he was good friends with their son and was with him when he died.

After he is welcomed into their home and asked to stay on a while, a bunch of mysterious deaths begin. When one of the family members look into David’s story, the desperate game of cat and mouse starts to unfold.

I liked this movie, but it leaves you with quite a few questions. Overall, it kept me very interested. David is one badass dude, but you can tell he’s off his rocker. It keeps you guessing on what’s going to happen next. It’s an oddball type of thriller. Here check out the trailer:
I recommend giving this movie a whirl and when you do or if you already have, let me know what you thought about it in the comments, or on Twitter @thenerdygirlexp.

I’ve never seen this movie. I may have to go watch it after reading this.
