January is Super with the return of Supergirl.  The mid season premiere episode titled “Blood Bond” airs on January 4 and picks up where the mid season finale, “Hostile Takeover” left off.

There were several developments that had taken place in the mid season finale, including Kat Grant’s discovery that Kara was in fact Supergirl.  I was very pleased by this.  Kat Grant is an intelligent, business savy woman but yet she was fooled by a pair of glasses and hair pulled back in a pony tail?  Thank you writers for not dragging out this discovery and continuing to insult Kat and viewers’ intelligence.

There is also the capture of Hank aka Martian Manhunter by Kara’s aunt Astra’s alien forces.
