A leader is strong, a leader is brave.  A leader never let’s a thing like death slow her down. Sadness is weakness. I am Lexa, and I am a leader.

To be a Commander you have to have a strength that will get many to follow. I am the Commander of the 12 Clans.  The Sky People call us The Grounders.  The Earth was ours first, they came from the sky and invaded our home.  Then they butchered hundreds of my people.

I agreed to a truce because their leader, Clarke has shown the she has the strength of a real leader.  And we needed an alliance with the Sky People to defeat the Mountain Men, who were using my people as blood donors. The Mountain Men were a bigger threat to us.

I see a lot of myself in Clarke.  But she needs to push any show of weakness deep inside of her. A leader can’t show fear or regret.  I didn’t want what the Mountain Men did to Tondc, but if we had warn the village, Bellamy would have been discovered and we would have been unable to rescue both of our people. It was regretable but unavoidable.

A leader puts her people first.  Even if it means calling a truce with the enemy.
