#iZombie Talks Social Media via @stacyamiller85 @iZombieWriters @CW_iZombie

There was a lot of talk regarding social media on Tuesday’s iZombie episode “Physician, Heal Thy Selfie.”

This article contains spoilers so if you haven’t seen the episode, please do not continue reading.

What made it interesting was that this wasn’t the normal Twitter and Tumblr conversations that are present on social media but the iZombie characters themselves talking about different aspects of it throughout the episode.

Take for example Ravi, who warned Liv that “Anything zombie related is TMI”.  Later, Ravi was shocked by the idea that people watched Liv unpack a box on You Tube.

Liv had her own concerns with social media, particular why Drake wasn’t on Facebook.  What could he be hiding? As someone who just joined Twitter and Facebook fairly recent, I was amused by the idea that unless you’re “connected” there has to be something you’re trying to keep from the world.  Can’t it be that you’re just not computer savvy?

Then we had the executives at Max Rager discussing the ‘troll’ Twitter postings.  My favorite was “Max Rager taste like turtle ass swimming in a dirty lake.”  How clever of the iZombie writers to perfectly have a line about a negative tweet. It was right on the mark.

iZombie has taken off due to its impact on social media. What a great way to acknowledge that the show and writers have taken notice.
