Sleepy Hollow ‘s most recent episode “Kindred Spirits” featured the return of a creature from the earlier seasons. I enjoyed the series’ take on the Frankenstein story and there were a few scenes that stood out for this viewer.

Joe encouraging Jenny to reach out to her dad was a touching scene beautifully acted by Zach Appelman and Lyndie Greenwood. Joe didn’t want Jenny to have the same regrets he did when he held onto resentments for August.

Okay, I know The Kindred is a monster that has killed.  But he didn’t ask to be created.  Like Frankenstein, he’s a sad monster that doesn’t fit in and wants someone like him.

Zoe Corinth Gets An Introduction Into Ichabod’s World

Zoe thought that there was something between she and Ichabod but then he goes weeks without calling her. And of course, he can’t explain to her his role as a witness.  But she gets her first experience to the supernatural when The Kindred grabs her. Luckily, she thinks it’s just a disfigured man. So the supernatural secrets are safe. For now.

Me Kindred, You Kindress

Ichabod, Abbie, Jenny and Joe are close to being kindred-chow until he gets a glimpse of ‘His Beloved’. Forget killing, he goes off into the sunset or darkness with his monster love.
