Do you like having fun, being nerdy, and feeling fit all at the same time? Then you definitely need to check out YogaQuest! This amazing group focuses on wellness, both mentally and physically, and integrates their love of nerdy culture into their yoga based activities. Now you’re probably thinking how can I be a part of this super cool program, well you can find them in Columbus, Ohio at WiSHCon this November.
This isn’t YogaQuest’s first convention rodeo, they’ve been to New York Comic Con, Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo, Emerald City Comic Con, and Wizard World Comic Cons in Minneapolis, Chicago, and Philadelphia. They’ve also been featured in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Yoga International, and Atlas Obscura. You can find them in Minneapolis, where they have a studio space and hold regular classes, workshops, and teacher trainings.
The three lovely ladies you will meet at WiSHCon are trained yoga teachers and instructors. Justine Mastin is the creator of YogaQuest and after becoming a certified yoga instructor she wanted to make a safe and inclusive place for nerdy folks looking to take care of themselves. She promotes the message that everyone has worth and should be able to be themselves. Maybe she’ll even show off some of her skills as a Dean Winchester and Buffy cosplayer at the convention.

Jenny Milos is the the narrator and scriptwriter for YogaQuest and is sort of like your YogaQuest Dungeon Master. She helps immerse you in the amazing stories that the group presents. Milos also offers Curvy Yoga classes and believes that no matter your shape, size, fitness level, or yoga experience that you should be accepted and respected.

Our third YogaQuester is Kris Anne Regeth, who holds the title “responsible adult” within the group. She not only teaches, but does a lot of the planning and organizing for the YogaQuest team. This includes setting up their appearances, community events, and their class schedule. Regeth is also a Louise Belcher cosplayer, so here’s hoping for a bunny ears appearance at WiSHCon!

The woman behind YogaQuest sound amazing and their message of acceptance and wellness for anyone, especially within the nerd community, is just wonderful. You should definitely check them out at WiSHCon! There are separate tickets available for YogaQuest sessions, you can purchase them through ticketleap.
