Recap of @LuciferonFOX “Favorite Son” from @kleffnotes

We open with a beautiful musical number with Lucifer, Tom Ellis, serenading the club, while in a different part of the city a man finds himself on the wrong side of a robbery. Oh and not just any robbery, but one that can be linked directly back to our beloved title character. That enough to draw you in? Well, read the rest of this recap to see what happened in the latest episode of Lucifer.

The most heinous crime in this episode is not the theft of Lucifer’s property, oh no, it is the disappearance of some very delicious chocolate cake. Apparently Trixie, with a a bit of prodding from Lucifer has dipped into the dessert a tiny bit early. After that adorable scene we were rushed to the site of the murder, which Lucifer found decidedly boring, until Maze informed him that it’s not just any container that’s been stolen, but instead something he’s had hidden away while on Earth. Even then Lucifer only decides to head back to Chloe and the case when Maze says not tracking down the thief will tarnish his reputation.

Lucifer might be working with Chloe, but Chloe and Dan are teaming up to figure out what is up with her devilish new partner. The problem is that while Chloe might be safe with Lucifer, Dan is definitely not safe alone at Lux. He meets Maze for the first time, and it is a knockout event. Dan wakes up in an awkward situation, let’s just say there’s a no pants party going on at Chloe’s house and Dan did not plan on attending.

Lucifer is on the hunt for Los Diablos, yes the devils, and we get to see Chloe kick some serious biker butt. It doesn’t take long for Lucifer to find the man who made off with his container, except that man does wind up looking a touch like a sidewalk pizza. Lucifer doesn’t find out who was really behind the theft. Chloe tells him that they found the container, but what we find are Russian stacking dolls. That’s not exactly what you’d expect from The Prince of Darkness.

dr linda

Well, you see when Lucifer visits Dr. Linda something far more important was stacked with those Russian dolls. Linda, with some therapy advice from Amenadiel, pushes Lucifer to a point where he shows just how angry he is that what he was hiding is gone. You’d be angry too if someone took your, spoiler alert, wings.

This episode was intense and full of amazing things! We got Trixie back, and she was adorable, and we got to see Dan and Maze interact for the first time. Amenadiel was also being sneakier than I had expected from our most angelic character. Every episode of this show just seems to get better and better. I can’t wait until next week! Also thanks to SpoilerTV for most of this article’s images.
