Wentworth’s  Baby Joshua, the son of Doreen and Nash has already had an interesting life since his birth.  He has experienced things that most babies don’t beginning with his birth in a prison. If Joshua could speak, what would he say? This writer gives you an idea with what was going through Baby Joshua’s mind as events were unfolding around him.This article contains spoilers so if you haven’t seen Wentworth, please do not continue to read.

“My name is Joshua. My mommy’s name is Doreen and my daddy’s name is Nash.  My home is a prison and my nursery is a jail cell.  That’s what happens when your mommy is an inmate at a correctional facility.

I love my mommy and I know that she loves me.  Even though she knows that prison is no place to raise a baby, she couldn’t bear to be apart from me.  I have a whole lot of  aunts: Aunt Liz, Aunt Bea, Aunt Franky,Aunt Boomer and Aunt Maxine.  I also had a crazy Aunt named Jess, who kidnapped me from mommy and tried to end my life. Thank Goodness I was saved by that scary lady Ferguson.  But oh my goodness, I almost died in a fire!

My Aunts Bea and Franky and that nice man Will Jackson saved my life.  I was really scared, that smoke was making me cough and the heat from the fire was really hot.  Things started falling down overhead, but I was shield from harm.

My mommy must have be frantic when the fire alarms went off and no one knew where I was. Even though scary Ferguson started the fire after she killed Aunt Jess, she tried to protect me and get us out.

Aunt Bea put me safely back in my mommy’s arms and there’s no place I’d rather be.”
