I began watching Wentworth on Netflix on January 2, 2016 and fell in love with the show.
This viewer would like to extend her thanks.
Dear Wentworth,
How do I start in thanking you for a quality program that has been engaging to watch? Normally, prison dramas are not something I would tune into. Okay I admit, I watched Prison Break but that was primarily for the eye candy of Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell. It’s ironic that I’ve fallen in love with another ‘Wentworth’ prison drama.
What makes Wentworth a stellar series? There are several factors. The cast and crew present a show with heart and soul. It’s easy to forget when watching Wentworth that it is a television show. I feel for every character in the series. Wentworth is not just black or white, there are shades of gray. The motivations of the characters whether they’re protagonists or antagonists are felt for the viewer. There are underlying reasons for every action that they’ve taken. We see that actions have consequences and no one, prisoner or guard is exempt.
Wentworth is the ‘Wizard of Oz’ of television- it has brains, heart and courage.
With Gratitude,
A Hooked Viewer
