Sometimes talent runs in the family.  This is definitely the case with the Shinyei family’s Valin and Gracyn.

I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Gracyn Shinyei for The Nerdy Girl Express. Despite her young age, she already has an impressive list of credits and currently stars in Hallmark Channel’s When Calls The Heart.  She enjoys both dancing and acting and appreciates the chance to pursue an acting career following in the footsteps of older brother, Valin, who himself has appeared in television and film roles.

Valin is currently one of the performers dancing in Justin Bieber’s Purpose Tour.  I’m sure that he appreciates this opportunity and is working hard to give it his best.

Meanwhile, Gracyn is also one of the announced guests at WishCon.

How do these talented Shinyeis stay grounded?  I believe it’s due to the love and support of their family.  I spoke with their dad briefly but from our conversation, this is a father who offers encouragement to his kids.  He’s also providing them with a home school education so they can pursue their dreams.

I know the Valin and Gracyn have long and successful careers ahead of them and wish them well.
