Lucifer would give you the shirt off his back and the pants off his legs for you in this week’s episode, and I am definitely not complaining. Not only was this week full of murder and intrigue, but there was sex and a huge revelation. You’ll see, just keep reading this recap from the Lucifer portion of this week’s #DevilsNight.
Chloe woke to a very naked surprise, oh no not a naked Lucifer, a naked her in Lucifer’s bed. While Lucifer initially let her think they slept together, he eventually relented and revealed to her with a hilarious impression of her drunken voice, that she had taken off all her clothes in the middle of the night because it was too hot in his apartment. The two head off to the homicide of a former NFL player turned philanthropist. Lucifer, while reveling in the high of giving of himself, offers to host an event that had been planned for the foundation the dead man ran at Lux for free. Dr. Linda warned Lucifer that his desire to help others isn’t really for other people, but for his own benefit. He shrugs her off and continues on with his quest for a philanthropic high over the course of the episode, which at one point leads to a very naked Lucifer.

While investigating Lucifer woos a crowd of women with an impromptu musical performance, which was absolutely wonderful. While he is overly focused on what he thinks are philanthropic efforts Chloe tells him that she misses the old Lucifer who helped her out and she goes off on her own to find information. Outside of the case Malcolm has Dan tied up in a creepy garage where he tells him all about his time in Hell and that he was pulled out by Amenadiel to kill Lucifer. Dan works to escape and save the guy he doesn’t even really like from the man who was blackmailing him.

Malcolm confronts Lucifer and reveals that he was brought back to kill him. Through some quick talking our favorite devil manages to get Malcolm to leave without shooting him, but moments later he finds himself dealing with a barrage of bullets from the murderer of the philanthropist. Now quick change, don’t want to reveal all the good stuff right here, especially when something crazy amazing happened between Maze and Amenadiel. While he’s enjoying dinner alone, Maze crashes and the two talk about Lucifer and goat, but then start shifting toward more tempting topics, primarily of the sexy kind. We get a very steamy car scene between the two of them with a whole lot of wing action.
Now on to the slightly spoilery bits. When Lucifer gets shot this time he doesn’t bleed and later at the bar while chatting with Maze he shows her that he is completely immortal again. After a moments pause he runs out to go test a theory, which involves him seeing Chloe. She reveals that being around him makes her feel vulnerable, and while she talks he cuts his hand and bleeds. Yep, bleeds. Way back when Lucifer first got shot I argued that Chloe made Lucifer more human because she didn’t really believe he was the devil and it looks like that theory mostly works out. When he’s around her he can be hurt and based on the promo for next week it looks like he starts avoiding her specifically because of that little snafu.
