My Little Pony Recap: The Saddle Row Review from @kleffnotes

This week’s episode of My Little Pony focused on the opening of Rarity’s new boutique in Manehattan. While she is very excited to read the review it turns out that the other members of the Mane Six accidentally revealed a lot of drama to the reporter who wrote it. For the rest of the drama you’ll just have to read the recap.

The episode is shown through flashbacks with the reporter and each of the ponies. While Rarity thinks that everything went off without a hitch, it turns out that the others may have been hiding some of the craziness from her. When we see the store for the first time it is in disarray. There is a lot of dust and it looks very dirty. The landlord and his daughter arrive and he wants his daughter be involved in the event. He insists that Rarity hire her or he will raise her rent. Fluttershy winds up having to get some raccoons moved out  and we learn that there is a club upstairs from the shop. DJ Pon3 is too busy to talk to Rarity and she’s stuck trying to figure out how to quiet everything down and prepare the building for her opening.

She’s understandably stressed, but Twilight tries to calm her down. Surprisingly the pep talk doesn’t really work. They divide up all of the work at Rarity for You in order to make sure everything gets done in time. Rarity it working on the window display, while Pinkie Pie is working on shutting down the party upstairs. Rainbow Dash is hiring employees for the store, Applejack is dealing with the landlord’s daughter Plaidstripes, Fluttershy needs to get the raccoons to leave, and Twilight is organizing the clothes. None of the ponies though are doing remarkably well with their goals.

In a moment of panic Twilight locks Rarity in the window display while trying to handle everything. They’ve all been trying to do things Rarity’s way, but they realize that they need to do things in their own way after a quick chat with Twilight. She is the princess of friendship after all. Everything gets handled and the store is perfect for the opening, even though Rarity doesn’t know how stressful all of the prep work was. Dash hired all of the ponies who applied, Twilight got the store laid out wonderfully, Pinkie Pie hired DJ Pon3 to dj the event, Fluttershy got the raccoons to help pass out drinks, and Applejack used Plaidstripes spoon clothes idea to help ponies out during the event. Rarity is surprised no one told her how much went into getting the event ready, but when they say they didn’t want her to think things didn’t go perfectly, she says that she knew she could count on all of them and just knowing that was perfect for her.
