@goconstance Constance Marie shines in any role via @tdmiller820917 #SwitchedatBirth

As Marcela Quintanilla the mother of slain singer Selena in the movie Selena, Constance Marie mesmerized audiences with an emotional depth. We could feel the pain of a mother who had to come to grips with the murder of her child.

Her extensive acting resume (including roles in the daytime soap opera Santa Barbara and nighttime shows Ally McBeal, American Family and Spin City) is a testament to her considerable talent. Fans of the show CBS’ Early Edition (where former stockbroker turned hero Gary Hobson received tomorrow’s edition of the Chicago Sun Times a day early along with an orange tabby cat and raced to prevent disasters) will remember Constance Marie in the recurring role of Detective Toni Brigatti. Brigatti was a no nonsense cop. Yet, Constance Marie also allowed viewers to witness the character’s sensitive side. Her scenes opposite Kyle Chandler who played Gary Hobson were wonderful. The two actors had remarkable chemistry and viewers were happy with any hint of a possible romantic relationship between Gary and Toni.

Constance Marie also revealed her comedic ability when she starred as Angie Lopez opposite George Lopez in ABC’s The George Lopez Show. Angie was such an endearing character and Constance Marie succeeded in making her accessible to viewers. Angie was the wife, mother, daughter and friend that we all wanted and needed.

Currently, Constance Marie thrills viewers as Regina Vasquez in Freeform’s Switched At Birth. In this role, Constance Marie is tackling the challenge of playing the birth mother to one daughter while she is the legal parent to the other. This is no easy feat. But Constance Marie portrays Regina with the strength and sensitivity that has easily become her trademark.

For decades, Constance Marie has proven that she is an amazing talent who shines in any role.
