Supernatural creator Eric Kripke will be honored with the Dan Curtis Legacy Award at the 42nd annual Saturn awards on June 22, 2016. The Dan Curtis Legacy Award is named after the producer behind the classic shows Dark Shadows and The Night Stalker.

Kripke has enjoyed a successful television career. His brainchild Supernatural, about demon hunting brothers Sam and Dean Winchester (Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles), is now in its eleventh season and is the longest running show on The CW. In addition, Kripke also created the NBC series Revolution. Kripke’s latest venture, the action/adventure series Timeless, is coming to NBC this fall. Further,the talented show runner, director and producer has penned numerous graphic novels.

The Saturn awards are presented annually by The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror to honor the best work in these genres.
