Amy Gumenick is one busy actress. The Supernatural and Arrow alum is currently caught in a web of intrigue as Philomena in the riveting AMC period drama TURN: Washington Spies.
In addition, Gumenick flexes her dramatic muscles in the intense, horror movie The Binding. Written and directed by Gus Krieger, The Binding is a spin on the biblical story of The Binding of Isaac where God appeared before Abraham and commanded him to sacrifice his son Isaac.
In the movie, Gumenick plays Sarah, the wife of a local minister named Bram (actor Josh Heisler). Bram receives visions from God where he is asked to sacrifice their daughter. Sarah is in the agonizing position of wrestling with her faith and her love and concern for her child. The premise of the movie lends itself to the horror genre. Certainly, Gumenick has the acting chops to excel in a difficult, emotionally demanding role.
The Binding is slated for release this August.

Intense.
