Ever just have one of those days? Well, in Freelance Blues #5 Lance Bunkman just can’t seem to catch a break. First his car gets towed and then he finds himself caught up in some horrifying Hollywood drama.
After meeting some zombified teens, Lance ends up becoming an extra in a local horror movie in an attempt to make enough money to visit his dying grandfather. He managed to snag the eye of the casting people and gets a part as a door holding teacher, which is way more exciting than the roles the kids he met snagged. Even though they worked really hard to make themselves look undead it turns out that the producer has some plans of his own.

When everything is finally set for the epic prom fight scene no one is exactly sure where the zombies are. After waiting around a hoard arrives and they look a bit too decayed to just be regular extras. Lance finds himself fighting off the undead masses, with the help of the crew and extras, but our hero winds up meeting with the big bad voodoo man himself. Will Lance survive this undead attack? Will he get his car back? Find out by checking out Freelance Blues on Alterna Comics!

This black and white comic is a fun read for horror movie fans. This specific one gave me an Evil Dead meets Zombieland vibe, which I really enjoyed. I look forward to seeing more of what crazy events Lance find himself in as the series progresses.
