To be able to attend a convention and meet your favorite stars as well as a gathering of people who share your interest and love is a special moment. Think of all the people who flock to San Diego every July for Comic Con.  It is an experience that is the stuff in which dreams are made of- a wish many have.

The organization WiSHCon, which stands for Women In Sci Fi and Horror Convention, understands this dream and strives to make this wish come true.  They have worked tirelessly on a convention that would offer fans the opportunity to meet many popular Sci Fi and Horror actors as well as authors. For those of us who are fans of The CW’s Supernatural, it’s exciting to see invited guests such as Samantha Ferris, Samantha Smith and Kim Rhodes on the convention roster.  Putting together an event like this takes love, dedication and commitment as well as hours upon hours of time.

The Nerdy Girl Express appreciates and supports WiSHCon.  Our writers have done many guest profiles and interviews.  For us, it was our pleasure to offer our services in any way we could.

WiSH Con was scheduled for November 18-20, 2016 in Ohio. Sadly due to circumstances beyond their control, WiSH Con has announced that the convention has been postponed to 2017:

Despite this setback, WiSH Con is determined to make this convention happen. They need our understanding and encouragement.   But most of all, they need our thanks. So with that, thank you WiSH Con for everything you’ve done and are continuing to do to make this convention wish a reality.
