I am a poet and one of the “best habits” I acquired was a daily diet of music by incredible singer/songwriter Mandy Rowden.

My Muse is not oblivious to the joy that Rowden’s songs bring. I have been always seduced by musical artists who courageously wear their hearts on their sleeves. There is authenticity in their lyrics as the music pours from their souls. Rowden is clearly a student of this school of thought; she is unafraid to demonstrate her vulnerability. Her lyrics are poignant. Musical strains linger within your heart with the belief in your strength to overcome heartache and that there is promise born in a new day.

Her album, These Bad Habits, is a favorite among countless fans and a deserving recipient of media accolades. These Bad Habits won #2 Album of the year in the Austin Chronicle Music Poll.
