With the massive cliffhanger at the end of Raygun #3 I was ridiculously excited to learn what had happened to Matthew after the arrival of the Strategic Defense Initiative at his door. We’re thrown right into the drama in Raygun #4.

Matthew has been taken by the government and through the manipulation of his mother, not even his father can get to him. After excessive testing and months of captivity the young boy is forced to perform in order to prove just how powerful Tesla’s Death Ray is. When he learns what will happen to him under the control of the SDI Matthew makes a break for freedom. Will he succeed and escape the clutches of his captors? Will someone come to help him? Raygun is a story that shows the strength of the human spirit in the face of unexpected perils. The young Matthew is constantly fighting for himself in a world that is so much older than him. I am rooting for him and his father to be reunited again. I am also very curious to learn why Tesla’s ray bonded with him so quickly and so fully.
