I enjoy different types of television shows. My favorite daytime drama is General Hospital, which I've been watching since 1979. My favorite movie of all time is the television miniseries North and South starring Patrick Swayze and James Read. I love historical novels. John Jakes and Winston Graham are my favorites. I was pleased when Graham's Poldark was revived as a new series on Masterpiece though the original starring Robin Ellis holds a special place in my heart. I also love classic Hollywood movies of the 1930s and 40s. When I'm not watching tv, reading, writing and working at my job in clinical trials, I enjoy spending time with my twin sister Tracy.

The 96th Academy Awards ceremony, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), will take place on March 10, 2024, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles. During the gala, the AMPAS will present Academy Awards (commonly referred to as Oscars) in 23 categories honoring films released in 2023. The ceremony, to be televised in the United States by ABC, will be produced by Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan, with Hamish Hamilton serving as director. Comedian Jimmy Kimmel is scheduled to host the show for the fourth time, following the 89th ceremony in 2017, the 90th ceremony in 2018, and the 95th ceremony in 2023.
