Happy Birthday Gordon Thomson via @tdmiller820917 #DynastyTvshow #Winterthorne

“All the world’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts…”

William Shakespeare

The Bard of Avon would have certainly smiled upon Gordon Thomson, a man who embraced his creative talents as an actor and allowed numerous characters to walk across the stage of life.  For a half century, Thomson has established himself in radio, stage, film, television and web series; he has used his artistic gifts and instincts to tell the stories of the many characters that he has played.

#ThisisUs The Brick Door: My Reflections on @NBCThisisUs Memphis via @tdmiller820917

This article contains spoilers. If you haven’t seen the This is Us episode, “Memphis”, please do not continue reading.

You can go home again.

Even after the long and often painful road that life had taken William Hill (Ron Cephas Jones), his final moments were spent back home in Memphis, gazing into the eyes of his son (Sterling K. Brown). When William told Randall: “the two best things in his life were the person at the very beginning, and the person at the very end,” these words sent shivers through me.

Interview #Supernatural ‘s Jesse (The Chitters) @LeeRumohr via @tdmiller820917 @cw_spn

Lee Rumohr is a talented actor with an impressive resume on numerous television shows. Rumohr endeared himself to fans of The CW’s long running show Supernatural as Jesse in the Season 11 episode “The Chitters”. Jesse balanced his lifelong quest to avenge the death of his brother with his commitment as a hunter.  Rumohr’s  stellar performance added emotional depth to Jesse. Despite his one episode guest appearance, Supernatural fans have been very vocal in their desire to see Rumohr and Hugo Ateo (who played Jesse’s partner Cesar) return to the show. These “hunter husbands” are currently happily retired to a horse farm in New Mexico. But as fans know, happily ever after  doesn’t really exist on Supernatural.
I recently spoke to Lee Rumohr about acting, his experiences working on Supernatural and his passion for photography. Read what he had to say below.

Book Review- Dead Club: The Case of the Sad Girl by @JoBelleCee via @tdmiller820917

There is nothing that excites a reader more than to become so invested in a book that she forgets that she is reading and instead feels as if she is experiencing the journey alongside the characters. JB Coffman’s Dead Club: The Case of the Sad Girl is a perfect example of a book that transcends the passive act of reading by convincing the reader that she has an emotional stake in the outcome.

Book Review: Project Ancora by @AllisonMaruska via @tdmiller820917

There is the fallacy on the part of some readers to dismiss books that belong to the Young Adult (YA) genre as lacking the literary sophistication of works intended for mature audiences. Perhaps there is a hesitancy in investing time in YA books for fear that the characters and plot won’t connect with the reader due to an unfair belief that tale is too simplistic. How could teen characters possess the emotional maturity to carry an intense plot? If anything, I applaud YA authors: YA authors often place their young characters in incredible situations and leave them to their own resources to confront these battles.

Book Review- The Golden Age of Charli: GPS by @jenabooks via @tdmiller820917

The Golden Age of Charli: RSVP and The Golden Age of Charli: BMI focused on themes of family and friendship amidst a climate of change. Author Jena C. Henry’s book series could be viewed as a renaissance of the human spirit where one’s golden years don’t demand confinement to a rocking chair to passively watch the years go by but rather signals a call to action for positivity, perseverance and “pressing on” in the face of life’s difficulties. We learned from our protagonist Charli how to reinvent ourselves through retirement and that conquering weight gain was possible through perseverance.

@JoleaB Interview With Author Jolea M. Harrison via @tdmiller820917

It is not easy for a writer to build a new world with only her imagination as the blueprint, but author Jolea M. Harrison has definitely succeeded. As the skilled author behind the sweeping fantasy and sci fi book series, The Guardians of the Word, Harrison excels in creating characters who go through an emotional journey as they wage a battle against the forces of good versus evil. Clearly, Harrison is undaunted in the depth of such a creative undertaking: The Guardians of the Word book series includes Chosen, Myth, Telepath, Legend, Union, Seer, Adept and King.

I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Jolea M. Harrison about her writing. Read what she had to say below.
