On Thursday, January 18, 2018, Supernatural returned from winter hiatus with the highly publicized episode titled “Wayward Sisters” that serves as a backdoor pilot to a proposed spin-off of the Supernatural franchise. Here are my thoughts on how I approached watching this episode and my feelings for it overall.
Supernatural’s winter premiere finds Sam and Dean (Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki) trapped in The Bad Place. Claire (Kathryn L. Newton), Alex (Katherine Ramdeen), Jody (Kim Rhodes), Patience (Clark Backo) and Kaia (Yadira Guevara-Prip) join forces to locate the Winchester brothers in this back door pilot airing January 18.
The mid-season finale of Supernatural was an episode titled “The Bad Place” and introduced a new character as well as putting Sam and Dean in the “we are so screwed” position that fans have come to expect for the brothers at the conclusion of the first part of the season. Here I offer some thoughts about the episode.
Psychic Missouri Moseley (Loretta Devine) from the Season One episode “Home” returns asking for Dean’s (Jensen Ackles) help. Find out what happens in the episode that airs October 26.
