So, how did everyone like The Flash/Arrow crossover event? What did you think of the new characters to introduce CW’s new show Legends of Tomorrow that begins Jan 21st?
Quite a bit happened over the last two nights during the crossover. So Andrew Keisberg’s goal was achieved, the two hour special most certainly did feel like a movie. An awesome movie, if I might had. It had a a lot of great one liners and plenty of action, and a few secrets as well.

So the main point of this episode was to introduce Legends of Tomorrow and it’s two biggest Legends and it’s main immortal villain, Vandal Savage. Kendra and Carter’s, better known as Hawkgirl and Hawkman, origin was perfectly revealed and brought together these three shows nicely. It showed us a very powerful villain that we are truly scared of, we all know that pile of dust isn’t going to be left like that. Vandal has a goal, the Hawks are of course involved. I think this madman’s plan is going to be gruesome once Legends begin. I loved watching Kendra become Hawkgirl. You could really understand her doubts and fears. Cisco was a very good hearted man helping her overcome what she needed to overcome.

Cisco is back to lonely guy status, but we got to dive more into his abilities as a Vibe. He revealed to everyone what he was and what he can do. I think now we can expect a little more with that storyline…hopefully. I think the Cisco/Wells thing is going to come to a head soon. Wells is a…well dick. We will see how that plays out over the rest of the season.

Ok in the Flash comics Velocity-9 is a big part….last night Caitlin and Wells made the speed serum Velocity-6. Jay warned them not to use it on Barry or himself for that matter. Of course they get into a situation where Jay had no choice but to use it to remove a bullet from Wells’ chest. Again after the serum had run its course, Jay warned Wells to stay away from Barry with that serum. Safe bet, this is not the last we’ll see of the serum because it’s a pretty safe bet that Wells will not listen
We can’t forget about Oliver. I think I was as shocked as Oliver to see he has a 9 year old son. Doesn’t seem like they’ll follow the comic book storyline regarding his son too much. Not complaining, just saying. Barely coping with the shock of finding out about William, we see the horrible breakup of Felicity and Oliver. I can see both sides of the argument, however, she knew he had just literally found out, as she did, and I kind of think that she should have looked at it from his point of view. Wrong or right, that’s how I feel about that. Now with baby mama….are you serious right now??? I’m guessing in TV land fathers don’t have parental rights. Although I can see how she doesn’t want William in that world……seriously Oliver, you lead a very dangerous life….just saying. Thank god that awful break up was just one of timelines….But as we have all learned, secrets don’t stay secret and there are always major consequences to those secrets.
Our two new heroes along with the Flash and Arrow come to an epic battle against Vandal and all hell breaks loose. We watched the death of so many and Barry run back through time, saving so those lives as well as Felicity and Oliver’s relationship. You don’t mess with time. There will be consequences on both shows from Barry’s trip backwards, that I can say with confidence.
The crossover event was awesome. It was funny, actions packed, with secrets. It was a great introduction to Hawkgirl, Hawkman, and Vandal. I will most definitely be watching Legends of Tomorrow, I hope you guys will join me in Jan.
You can catch The Flash on Tuesdays at 8pm ET on the CW as well as Arrow at 8pm ET on Wednesday on the CW.
