Watching Wentworth on television is an exciting roller coaster ride, it is fast-paced with great characters and stories. It’s fun viewing. But it wouldn’t be fun if you were a prisoner at Wentworth Prison. If you were, who would you want your friend to be?
It depends on what you’d want your prison experience to be.
If you want prisoner acceptance, Bea Smith or Franky Doyle would be the best prisoners to have in your corner. They have their own “crews” and unofficial enforcers like Boomer and Maxine.
If you want a mother figure and/or a shoulder to cry on, Liz Birdsworth’s cell is the door to knock on. Or perhaps Maxine Conway.
Prior to the arrival of Governor Ferguson, Vera Bennett was the Wentworth guard to go to for prisoner sympathy.
Or for a guard who’s fair, how about Will Jackson?
However, if you intend to be the type of prisoner who has no problem being an informant for the administration, Governor Ferguson will come find you. And you may even get a flatscreen television for your cell as a thank you.
So, your prison tenure has begun- what are you going to do to survive it and who will you turn to?
