#Galavant Knows How D’Dew Love And Death Right via @stacyamiller85 @GalavantABC

Galavant reminded viewers of the dire situation our hero found himself in by picking up right at the scene where Sid accidentally plunged Galavant in chest with a sword.

This article contains spoilers so if you haven’t seen the Galavant episodes “Love and Death” and “Do The D’Dew”, please do not continue reading.

King Richard, Sid and Roberta race off to a healer of infection, Neo Sporin (cute, writers) to save their friend’s life. What follows is a witty song about how there’s no time to waste.  But alas, Galavant does bite it (I didn’t see that coming).  What I love best about Galavant is that in spite of all the fun and singing, viewers do get those surprising moments. Fortunately, we don’t have to grieve our hero because as luck would have it, Richard holds the key to Galavant’s resurrection. You see, there is a potion that will bring Galavant back to life.  It requires the bearded hair of a middle-aged virgin male.  Richard, you can save your friend!  But King Richard continues to insist he’s been with a woman.  But the unicorn knows, where’s that unicorn? Oh, there it is.

Anyway, Richard finally admits that he’s been saving himself for the right woman, someone he loves and who loves him. Aw…that’s sweet.

A dead Galavant finds himself in a singing Underworld.

Meanwhile, King Gareth admits he loves Madalena and sings “Love Makes The World Brand New” complete with Disney Sing-A-Long words across the screen and a Snow White like cartoon blue bird.

Later, when Madalena sees him on bended knee, King Gareth gets kicked to the floor by her as Madalena falsely believes he’s proposing.  I adore the scene when King Gareth and Madalena profess their feelings for each other via the soliders.

Over in Hortencia, Isabella prepares to go to war with Valencia but discovers the arsenal of weapons are either toys or made of chocolate. Hey, what do you expect when the future ruler is a child?  Nonetheless, Isabella gives a rousing speech to the troops and meets with Madalena.  They face off in a song that includes a great lyric Soon I’ll have your castle and your ass’ll.  Love it, Mallory Jensen and Karen David!

Back at waiting for the dead hero to come back to life,  Richard and Roberta admit their feelings for each other and are about to kiss when Galavant pops back up, alive. “You couldn’t have waited 30 more seconds?” Roberta asks.  But King Richard and Roberta do end up getting their kiss and a lot more.  Hopefully, Galavant won’t die again because Richard’s bearded hair won’t be of use anymore!

Other episode highlights include:

  • The zombie army Neo Sporin offers to Galavant.
  • Richard and Roberta singing of their night together to the disinterest of Galavant, Sid and the zombie army
  • Sid leaving from his guilt of having killed Galavant
  • Roberta confessing to Richard she couldn’t fight with he and Galavant for fear of watching Richard die

King Richard sacrifices love to join his friend in battle.  Richard, you are now a hero.

Again, two highly enjoyable episodes of Galavant proving the show just keeps getting better and better.
