It’s Valentine’s Day so let’s talk about Ghostbusters. Okay, I know Ghostbusters 2 is when they announce that the world will end on February 14th 2016, but I really wanted to talk to you about the ever villainous Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. I mean he’s made of sugary sweetness, but that demonic being is pure evil I tell you.
In the first Ghostbusters movie when Gozer tells the Ghostbusters to choose the form of their destruction, Ray has the image of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man pop into his head, which leads to the appearance of the big squishy villain. The marshmallow man makes his way through the city and eventually explodes into piles of sticky goo. The logo is shown earlier in the movie in Dana’s kitchen when the eggs start cooking themselves and her fridge becomes a scene of demonic activity too.

Now I’m sure most of you are thinking the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man we see attacking the city is a demonic creation and isn’t normally evil, but I beg to differ. The figure himself is a man made entirely out of semi squishy gelatinous sugar. I mean he isn’t jello and he isn’t sugar, but he squishes and even wiggles a little bit. Besides if you heat him up he turns into goo that you can’t get out of anything. Have you ever tried cleaning up melted marshmallow? If you try and clean it too soon it sticks to everything and if you wait too long it turns into something you could use to cement bricks.

Now besides that if you try and eat a marshmallow it melts and squishes and moves around in your mouth like a living creature, even when it isn’t in the form of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. Okay, maybe that’s just me.
I hope you are having a lovely day, whether you are spending it with a Valentine or not. If you want to share your Ghostbusters thoughts you can comment below or tweet them at us, @thenerdygirlexp.
