Wentworth’s Doreen and Nash found love behind bars while they were in different prisons.

When Doreen discovered she was pregnant, she tried to keep it from the prison authorities. But unfortunately, Maxine’s blood revealed her secret. Governor Joan Ferguson threatened Nash unless Doreen lied that the father of her child was Will Jackson.

Liz convinced Doreen to stand her ground and not ruin the life of a good man like Will Jackson.

Nash was thrilled to learn he was going to be a father. He and Doreen professed their love for each other.

Baby Joshua was born but through a plot by Governor Ferguson, paroled Nash ended up behind bars again.

I have no doubt Doreen will eventually get paroled and that Nash will be cleared of the drug smuggling charge now that Joan Ferguson’s other nefarious crimes have been uncovered. The only question is whether Doreen and Nash, once on the outside, can find happiness with their son.

I’d like to think they can after all they’ve been through. Maybe good can come from the bad of prison.
