Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been live tweeting Buffy the Vampire Slayer and since that started there have been some amazing tweets popping up on my Twitter all about James Marsters. Yep, I know I’ve talked about him before, but I thought we all needed a post dedicated to my biggest celebrity crush. So this post is for all my fellow James Marsters fangirls and fanboys, let’s get to the Marsters appreciating.
When I was in high school my friend got me hooked on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and when Spike made his first appearance I was in love. Okay, well teenage lust, but at the time totally seemed like the same thing. I was obsessed with the second season of Buffy because it was the season with the most villainous Spike, but even when he got chipped and then souled I still loved him. When Buffy ended I was afraid I would never see James Marsters again, but my friend and I were super excited to hear that he’d be back on Angel. Even though I hadn’t really watched Angel, besides random episodes I caught on syndicated day time Cable, I made sure to be in front of my tv every night to make sure I would see it.

Alright, so my James Marsters obsession is primarily connected to him playing Spike on Buffy, but that’s not all. After I finished David Tennant’s seasons of Doctor Who I found Torchwood. Now I was already drawn in because I mean Captain Jack totally deserved his own show, but while I was binge watching it James Marsters suddenly appeared with no warning and I lost it. Like literally lost it, I yelled at the tv and at one point I think I said “Thank You Lords of the BBC!” It was like 2 am, not really the ideal time to be surprised with your long time celebrity crush. Now if you haven’t watched Torchwood I totally don’t want to spoil the super amazing thing that happens, but you should totally watch it. If you don’t watch the entire thing, I’m sure you can find a clip of him in Torchwood and understand why I freaked the freak out.

Marsters has also made an appearance on Supernatural, with another former Buffy alum Charisma Carpenter. They both have cool powers and are a couple, which makes it even more amazing. He also appeared in one of my all time favorite shows, Warehouse 13. Honestly I think he just pops up in random shows just so that I freak out about how wonderful he is.
