After a few stand-alone episodes, Supernatural returns to its mythology with Sam and Dean seeking a way to save Castiel from the Devil and to stop The Darkness, Amara.  Which unfortunately may involve making a deal with another devil, Crowley.

The official synopsis from The CW: “Lucifer (Misha Collins) takes a trip home and tries to assert himself into Heaven. Crowley (Mark Sheppard) tells Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) he has a way to take down Amara (guest star Emily Swallows).”

Sam and Dean have faced some heavy evil hitters before, but usually not two at the same time. How will they win against Amara and Lucifer?  And will they be able to save friend Castiel from being the Devil?
