Writer’s Note: This is a fictional conversation with the character of Paula Proctor from Crazy Ex-Girlfriend . It has not aired on the show.

This reporter recently had a chance to chat with Paula Proctor at Whitefeather and Associates during a free moment she had a work. Her responses to my few questions convinces me how much she cares for Rebecca Bunch.

Thanks so much for taking the time to speak with me Ms. Proctor

“Please, call me Paula”

Okay Paula. I know there are some people who wonder about your relationship with Rebecca Bunch.

“(Laughs) My relationship.”

What I mean is, why are you and Rebecca Bunch such good friends?

“‘There’s really not just one reason. You know how when you meet some people you just click. That’s what happened when I met Rebecca. I may have thought she was a little strange at first but hey, I’m strange (laughs). But that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. I just love how Rebecca is just so full of life. You just want to sing songs about her, you know?

Now let’s talk about what everyone wants to know. How do you feel about Rebecca’s pursuit of Josh Chan. Do you think it was healthy of her to follow an old crush cross country?

“First of all, I think it’s insulting to call Josh ‘an old crush.’ It trivializes Rebecca’s feelings. I feel Rebecca is in love with Josh, he may very well be the love of her life. And if it made her happy to follow her dream of a romance with him, yes it’s healthy.”

What about you?

“What about me? I never wanted a romance with Josh (Laughs).”

Do you feel all you did to help Rebecca win Josh’s heart was healthy?

“Absolutely! You do whatever you can to help a friend. I just want Rebecca to be happy. It really hurt my feelings when she didn’t tell me about she and Greg. But we got pass that and now our friendship is stronger than ever. I know Rebecca and I will be friends forever.”
