Beauty and The Beast’s recent episode “Beast of Times, Worst of Times,” put Vincent back to a place where he didn’t want to be – back on the public’s radar.
This article contains spoilers so if you haven’t seen the episode “Beast of Times, Worst of Times,” please do not continue reading.
Since the start of Season 4, Cat and Vincent (Kristin Kreuk and Jay Ryan) have been aware that there were beast bounty hunters after him. But a saving grace was that that had the support of Deputy Secretary Hill (Andrew Stewart-Jones), who gave Cat a DHS badge so she could discover who the bounty hunters were.
However, it was revealed in “Beast of Times, Worst of Times,” that Deputy Secretary Hill wasn’t as supportive as he seemed. In fact, he set Vincent up so he’d appear to be a terrorist, an ex-solider suffering from PTSD. Hill’s plan was to kill Vincent after he ‘beast out’, thus ending the public’s fear of beasts and coming out the hero. Unfortunately for him, the plan backfired when Hill injected Vincent with synthetic adrenaline and Vincent was unable to control his beast nature. Despite Cat’s pleas, Vincent snapped Hill’s neck, killing him.
Now, Cat and Vincent are on the run until they are able to clear Vincent’s name. But will Vincent ever be able to forgive himself for taking a life?
