In Lilith Dark we get to see the title character battle monsters in mystical worlds, well at least in the world of her imagination. 

What makes this comic so fun is that in this first issue we get to see Lilith going up against monsters and then what is actually going on in the real world. First she battles a demon hound, who happens to be her dog. The two bark at each other until Lilith has to go in for dinner. She pretends to eat her meatloaf by feeding it to her dinosaur and then after that she fights a beast of the ocean in an attempt to avoid taking a bath. The last mythical being she faces off against is a unicorn, who is very upset to have his horn attacked.

The unicorn happens to be her brother with a huge zit on his forehead and Lilith winds up having to go to bed early. As she lays in the dark she hears something at the window and we get to see another time she went adventuring. Before he became a teenager Lilith’s brother used to play with her, but one day wound up coming face to face with a beastie. Now did he really see something hidden in that tree or was his imagination just as active as Lilith’s? You’ll have to check out more of Lilith Dark to find out!

This comic was a cute read and reminded me of when I was little and used to go on my own make believe adventures. I’m curious to see how Lilith handles monsters in the real world, especially since she has so much make believe practice.
