@dark_matterTV Recap: I’ve Seen the Other Side of You from @kleffnotes

This week starts with Five running and hiding within the Raza as she is pursued by Four. Yep, you read that right, Four and then Three appear and drag Five out of her hiding spot within the vents. They don’t remember who she is and why she’s on the ship, but we don’t stay with them for long. The story jumps back ten hours and we are in the kitchen with Two and Three. She reveals why One was on the ship in the first place and that he never even took the revenge he had planned to take. They are trying to figure out what to do next and Two seems ready to take anyone down who could be in the way.Our three new crew members are discussing their new life on the Raza. Arax thinks they should be on their toes because even though the crew members memories might have been erased they are a team, which makes him, Nyx, and Devon (hospital dude) the outsiders. Nyx says they have been accepted, but then learns that they are locked out of most of the ship, which leads to a chat with Two and Three, who tell the newbies that they don’t trust them. Android still can’t connect to the ship and it turns out that her higher functions were damaged. She has to shut down for 32 hours so that her nanites can repair the damage, but oddly additional scans start happening. Arax tells Two he knows a place that they can all hide out, but she tells him that they’ve survived being on the run before and they don’t need his help. Back in the infirmary, Five is sitting with Android, when Three and Four both arrive looking for pain meds. They both have terrible headaches, but have no idea why. Suddenly both of them are shouting in pain and collapse on the ground. Five calls Two and her com goes dead.

Five finds Two passed out on the ground and when she won’t wake up, she runs out of the room. She bumps into Devon who wants to chat, but she brushes him off after telling him that everything is fine. Then Five locks herself in the control room and pulls up Android’s hologram. She shows her the recent diagnostic of Android and tells her that she shut down to repair, but Five wants to know if she can reactive her earlier. The hologram says that doing so could cause more harm, but can’t tell Five how to deal with the three collapsed crew members and the three new people she’s left with on the Raza. The hologram suggests she ask the doctor on board to help her, but Five doesn’t trust him and thinks he might have been behind it. Without another option she winds up asking the three new people for help. Devon checks Three and Four and says that they seem to be in a coma, but their brain functions are elevated. Arax tells Five that he knows a place they can go and she takes him to the control room. He says he needs time to get used to the system, but now he has full control of navigation and no one to watch him. With Five gone to check on Two, Five didn’t want anyone finding out about her medical condition, Arax initiates a transmission to the woman we’ve been seeing, the one with an intense interest in Five. Nyx offers to help Five look for Two and after they split up, Two winds up finding Five. The issue is that she has no idea who she or anyone else on the ship is.

two and five

This might seem like amnesia, but oh no this is much worse. All of the original Raza crew members have been reset to their original memories. Two threatens to kill Five, but Arax appears and a huge fight goes down between him and Two. In the infirmary Three and Four are awake, but they have no clue what is going on and wind out knocking out Devon. Two tells Three and Four to start looking for a teenage girl, Four goes to find her and Three locks up Devon. Now we’re back where the episode started, Five tells Three and Four that they’ve been working together and that she even saved his life once. Three doesn’t believe her, but Two has been running diagnostics and finds out that it’s 14 months since the day they fell asleep. Three runs to check the vault and Two sends Four with him. He tries to open it, but the lock has been changed. When he can’t get it open, he grabs Five and she tells him they’ve changed the lock code a bunch of times. She goes on to say that Sarah died when they came under attack a while back. In the bridge Two gets another headache, something is going on in her head with this memory reset. Five got Three into the vault and he brings her and a lock box upstairs. He wanted to take Sarah’s necklace out and Four is struck by his sentimentality. Two comes in and says that Five can stay, but only because she thinks she can verify her theory about what happened to them.

She asks Three and Four what the last thing they remember before today is and Four says that they needed to use the Android to break through a bio field and that they did brain scans to link with her. The links they uploaded were activated when the Android reset. Two says that she can link with the ship and control almost everything, she’s planning on taking over the entire thing. Four says that they need to get rid of these new people and Three says he know someone they can sell them to. Five insists that they are new people who aren’t like this, that they aren’t mean or cruel any more. Two tells Three to get Five out of the room and he returns her to the cell with Arax and Devon. In her room Two is working on linking with the ship and she is getting high on this new power. Four says that they need to shut down the link, but Two refuses. She wants to keep this link, but Four says he doesn’t think it’s worth the risk. Five tells the others what is happening with Two and Arax says they need to shut down the link. Nyx appears with weapons and while Five insists they can’t kill the others, he doesn’t care. Five is heading to the infirmary because she thinks she has a plan. Four is heading to the bridge to cut off the attack by the newbies and Two is focusing on building her connection faster. In the infirmary the hologram tells Five not to wake up Android, but Five says she has another idea. She has all of Two’s original memories and says that she can use them to make her own neural link with the ship. Three winds up in a shootout with Nyx, Devon, and Arax. With the newbies pinned down, Nyx rushes up and leads the attack. Four and Three are trying, but they’re outgunned. Two uses her new link to pin them in, then notices someone has been accessing data from the infirmary. Four says it has to be the girl and Two tells him and Three to go kill her.

five link

They rush to where Five is, but she’s locked inside. Two tries to unlock the infirmary, but it involves a decryption program. The hologram tells Five that she needs to hurry and figure out the link before they get in. Five can see everything, but she can’t manipulate anything. The hologram tells her to use Two’s memories against her. She’ll need to find one where Two was at her most vulnerable and put her there. Five manages to drop Two inside a memory, but while she tries to fight her way out Five is stronger here. Five leads an attack, but she stops before she kills her. The hologram says to show no mercy, but she can’t hurt her any more. Instead Five tells her she knows what happened to her and that she knows that she has another side. She says that she just wants her friend back and offers her a hand. Then without warning Two, Three, and Four collapse. Android is up and about and is running scans on the Raza crew. They all appear normal, but they don’t understand how they suddenly became their old selves. Five says they have the old memories still, but they are walled off inside their minds. Android says that they could access the scans and let their minds access their old memories, which would allow them to become their old selves, but Five insists that they can’t. Three thinks she’s overreacting, but Android agrees they would open themselves up to old personality traits. They eventually decide not to go through with it, but Five does bring something to Three. She gives him the lock box that he opened earlier and she tells him that the necklace inside it belonged to Sarah. He also finds something else after she leaves, a weird circular device that pulses. Whatever it is sends out a transmission to someone. Oh boy, what just happened?

four and device

There is seriously never a dull moment on the Raza. I’m very curious to see just what happens because of that signal Three sent off on accident. Also just what did Arax say to that woman?
