Sky Boivin is a creative powerhouse, an artist, poet and author whose books are a testament to her talent. The skilled artist and poet who often graces social media with her beautiful work released her novel, “Their Hope Within The Flames” in July.  I recently had the pleasure of interviewing her. Read what she had to say below.

Congratulations on the release of  Their Hope Within The Flames. How did you conceive of this story?

Thank you . I am excited and relieved that I was finally able to finish this after five years of work on it. The story just kind of came to me. I just felt I needed to pick up the pen and write. The words just flowed onto the page.

Did you select the title of the book before or after you started writing?

The title just came as I was writing it.

Their Hope Within The Flames has a wonderful, authentic flavor with its characters and setting. Was there any specific research that you did prior to writing the book?

I didn’t do any research at all. I like to read a lot of different styles and eras.

What challenge did you face in publishing Their Hope Within The Flames?

The biggest challenge with getting the book completed, was raising the money to get it edited. I had been referred to an editor so I just needed to get the money together to do so. Once I found the Supernatural family, a great, wonderful and caring bunch, they helped me tweet my brains about the fundraising. What I struggled to get in 8 months, they helped me within 2 weeks. So a big thank you to those who helped me. I wouldn’t be here and now with out that love and support.

Is there any character in Their Hope Within The Flames that mirrors your own personality?

I would have to say Sarah is me.

Are there any current projects that you are working on that you can share with us?

I am currently working on a 4th poetry book. And collaborating all my poetry books into 1 large book. I am playing with the idea of a prequel for Their Hope Within The Flames.
