September 16  is Alexis Bledel’s birthday.

Fans of Gilmore Girls know Bledel as the favorite town daughter, Rory in TheWB/CW series that aired for seven seasons from 2000 to 2007.  She will be reprising her role later this year in the Netflix revival, Gilmore Girls: A Year In Life.

In addition to Gilmore Girls, Alexis Bledel has appeared in numerous film and television roles such as Tuck Everlasting and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, ER and Mad Men.  It was while playing the recurring role of Mad Men’s Beth Dawes that Alexis met series star Vincent Kartheiser. The two began dating and later married.  They are now the proud parents of a son.

The 35-year-old actress has shown her range and talent through the different roles she’s played in her career. On your birthday Alexis, I wish you continued happiness and success.
