A Marketing Manager’s Thanks to @thenerdygirlexp on Its Anniversary via @stacyamiller85

The joy of a writer is to be able to touch people with your words.  But it’s also to feel strongly about what you write regardless of whether you’re writing a serious piece or light, fun prose.

Writing for The Nerdy Girl Express offers me the best of both worlds.  I think that what makes this site special is that our writers write what we love.  It can be an article about a movie or television show that held special meaning for us even if that show or movie is a little known one.  If it stirs emotion for us, The Nerdy Girl Express writes about it.capture-pngngefeat

As Marketing Manager, it’s my job to help promote The Nerdy Girl Express. As the site is only a year old, we may not be as recognizable as others.  But due to the support and encouragement of site founders Erica, Erin and Katherine, I have been able to spread the word about The Nerdy Girl Express as well as pursue interviews with fascinating people who we feel readers will enjoy learning more about.

My goal as Marketing Manager is also to make our writers’ interview dreams come true. I like to ask our writers who they would love to interview and strive to contact the individual’s representation to coordinate.  I am happy to have made the interview dreams of writers Erin and Tracy become reality.

But none of this would have been possible without The Nerdy Girl Express and their belief in me and my abilities. I spend hours making telephone calls and sending emails.  When ideas and inspiration hit me (and our writers), we all discuss it as a team.  The smallness of our staff allows everyone’s voice to be heard. This intimate feeling gives us a closeness that is real.

Each of our writers brings their own personality to their work.  So on this first anniversary of The Nerdy Girl Express, I wanted to let everyone know that I’m honored to be a part of this writing team.
