The wait is almost over, Lucifer returns tonight and it appears that this will be a remarkably devilish set of episodes for Lucifans everyone.
It was revealed last week that the series will be returning for a three episode arc unlike anything Lucifer has done before. This procedural multi-episode plot will start today, January 16th, and finish on January 30th. Now there aren’t many details available, but a new character will be introduced on January 23rd. Tim DeKay, who many will recognize from White Collar, will play a neuroscience professor named Dr. Jacob Carlisle. While his character may do bad things, he isn’t exactly a bad guy. After coming in contact with Lucifer, Dr. Carlisle will wind up doing something that impacts someone our title character cares about.
Now that seems remarkably ominous to me, especially since my immediate thought was that he does something to Chloe because she is so close to Lucifer. If not her, I wonder if Mama Morningstar, Charlotte, will wind up being in danger because to an outside observer she did experience a major tragic event and then begin acting differently. I anticipate that it will be something shocking and probably a bit terrifying no matter what happens, especially with the story spanning three episodes.
After this arc Lucifer will be on break until May 1st, which is a torturously long time to wait for new episodes. You can catch up with previous episodes of Lucifer on FoxNow. If you just need a quick refresher you can check out my Kleffnotes Guides to Lucifer recap videos.
