#Supernatural Begins Filming Season 13 in Vancouver July 12 via @stacyamiller85 @jarpad @JensenAckles

Supernatural Season 12 Finale “All Along the Watchtower” saw many shocking deaths, including Castiel (Misha Collins) and Crowley (Mark Sheppard). What will we see when Supernatural returns for Season 13 in October?

On Wednesday, July 12, the cast returned to the Vancouver set of Supernatural to begin filming Season 13. It has already been announced that fan favorite Mark Sheppard would not be returning as Crowley.

This article contains spoilers so if you live in a region that has not aired the Season 12 finale, please do not continue reading.

When last we left the Winchester brothers, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) along with Castiel and Crowley attempted to stop Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino).  Meanwhile, Kelly Kline (Courtney Ford) gave birth to the devil’s son. Before the episode was over, both Castiel and Crowley had given their lives to the good fight. And Mary (Samantha Smith) found herself trapped in an alternate Earth along with Lucifer.

And Lucifer had stabbed Castiel with an angel blade? Is the angel dead? Viewers of Supernatural know that Castiel has cheated death time and time again. So, does this mean the angel will be back? Smart money is that we will see Castiel again. And now that there is an alternate earth, we could see other former Supernatural characters during the new season. But we do know that Baby is “Back in Black” (Thanks Jim Michaels for the photo).

Filming may be starting, but we still have three whole months to wait before learning the answers!
