This series focused on survival and the choices that people are forced to make to protect themselves and their families is a shocking read that I have had the pleasure to review previously. Trespasser is currently being released as part of the Alterna Comics newsprint line, which allows readers to enjoy the series in individual comics that hearken back to a different time.
When I discuss this series I’m always worried that I’ll inadvertently spoil it for new readers based on my previous knowledge of it. Issue #2 showed Hector, the lead character and father, making a shocking decision and in this issue he and his daughter are dealing with the unexpected ramifications of this choice. Both of them have begun to get very ill and the family dog, Belle, has also been impacted in a strange way. If you don’t mind spoilers you can check out my full review of the series, but if you’ve been reading each issue within the newsprint release you might want to hold off because you will definitely spoil a great ending.
The story throughout this series is well done and far darker than you might anticipate at first read. If you enjoy science fiction, especially end of the world and alien themed stories, you definitely need to check out this series. This is also a great read for younger sci-fi fans and provides a story that is very unique. You can find the latest issue of Trespasser in stores now!
