Doppelganger #3 @ALTERNACOMICS Newsprint Review from @kleffnotes

After facing off against his Doppelganger, Dennis learns that there are certain things that can’t be unseen and these things can be tragic. To start off issue three of the series we watch as an unsuspecting woman suddenly begins to disappear after seeing Dennis and the Doppelganger at the same time. Things get even more intense as the story unfolds.

Dennis fails to take out the Doppleganger and his best friend, Mack, comes up with an ingenious plan. They’ll booby trap the garage and make it easy for Dennis to finally take back his life. While they are planning the Doppelganger is enjoying the new life he is slowly making for his version of Dennis. When the lights go out at dinner the two men again come face to face, but is Dennis ready to kill to save his own life?

The premise of the Doppelganger series is intriguing and I don’t want to give too much away because it is definitely keeping me on the edge of my seat. The Doppelganger doesn’t care about anyone, except for himself, while Dennis wants to protect everyone around him, even coworkers he isn’t close with. These two versions of Dennis present slightly differently throughout the series. With well placed elements in the art and a different tone indicated in their dialogue these two men, while similar, still present entirely different identities. I can’t wait to see how the series ties up. Keep an eye out for Alterna Comics at your local store and don’t forget they are also available online.
