Are you ready for a change of scenery? Or maybe you are planning to visit upstate NY. Might I’d suggest Port Charles? If you’ve never been there, you might want to read up on it. And would better way than to check out Travel Guide to Port Charles.
ABC’s General Hospital fictional city Port Charles gets the visitor guide treatment with Travel Guide to Port Charles by GH’s Co-Writer Chris Van Etten. Former librarian turned realtor Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) offers readers an insight look into places to see in the upstate New York town. In Port Charles, you’ll have the chance to run into super agents and a coffee importer who may or may not have ties to organized crime. Lucy Coe’s take on Port Charles is not only a guided tour of locations. In Travel Guide to Port Charles, you’ll get a history of Port Charles as well as other features such as information on some of the heroes of the town and reviews of the event of the year, The Nurse’s Ball.
As a fan of General Hospital, I found Travel Guide to Port Charles to be en entertaining read. The format with of having a character like Lucy from General Hospital talking about the city in which she lives gave a unique feel to the writing and a realistic view for a travel guide. If Port Charles were a real city, I’d want people who live there to be the ones to tell me about the haunts. The book was reader friendly for fans and non-fans alike. I feel that by reading Travel Guide to Port Charles, a non-viewer of General Hospital may want to check out the daytime drama.
I give Travel Guide to Port Charles my recommendation.
