Nicholas is a neurotic twenty-something visiting his dad and teenage half-sisters, one of whom is on the autism spectrum. When Nicholas’ trip is extended due to his father’s untimely death, the siblings are left to cope with not only a devastating loss, but also the realization that Nicholas is the one who will have to rise to the occasion and hold it all together. Navigating autism, budding sexuality, consent, parenthood, adolescence, family and grief, the heartfelt comedy follows this imperfect family as they discover the importance of finding happiness in the middle of really difficult moments, one awkward conversation at a time (Wikipedia).

SEAL TEAM is a military drama that follows the professional and personal lives of the most elite unit of Navy SEALs as they train, plan and execute the most dangerous, high-stakes missions our country can ask of them. Jason Hayes is the respected, intense leader of the Tier One team whose home life has suffered as a result of his extensive warrior’s existence. His team includes his trusted confidant, Ray Perry, the longest-tenured operator with whom Jason shares an ingrained shorthand; Sonny Quinn, an exceptional, loyal soldier with a checkered past who still combats self-destructive tendencies; and Clay Spenser, a young, multilingual, second-generation SEAL with insatiable drive and dedication. Vital to the team’s success are troop commander Lt. Cdr. Eric Blackburn, who serves as a leader and confidant both on and off the battlefield; CIA analyst Mandy Ellis, who has sacrificed everything in her drive to root out evil and take down terrorists; and Lisa Davis, a no-nonsense, take-charge logistics officer and unofficial den mother responsible for outfitting the team with the necessary gear for each mission. Deployed on clandestine missions worldwide at a moment’s notice, and knowing the toll it takes on them and their families, this tight-knit SEAL team displays unwavering patriotism and fearless dedication even in the face of overwhelming odds (CBS Press Express).

When I make the time to workout, which is much harder to do now that I have a full time job and also live with my wife, Krista finds things to watch. You would be surprised how hard it is to be motivated to stop snuggling on the couch when you don’t get to see someone you desperately looked forward to moving in with for ages for the major hunk of your day. Back to the finding a show to watch element of this story. One night Krista started watching Brothers & Sisters on Hulu and in that moment we suddenly found ourselves down a deep rabbit hole of melodrama. While may not see every single episode of the show, I still see a majority of them. She no longer watches it while I workout, but sometimes we try to watch before bed and I more than once have immediately fallen asleep. I was expecting this show to just be a bit of a soap opera-y romp, but there was something that caught me entirely by surprise, Kevin.
