  1. I am outraged and sickened. I cannot believe the CW glamorized aging-out of foster care into homelessness. In Summer School, Part 2, opens with what I, and hundreds of thousands of others, who aged out of foster care, experience after turning 18. A foster mother puts her out of her foster home because she is too old. I guess you thought that was funny. I guess you thought that was somehow glamorous and worthy of 2-seconds of fame. It is not funny and it is not glamorous, and NEVER has a foster kid EVER been thrown out of their foster home to land in a $300,000, perfectly decorated home and everything is great an hour later. So, yes, I will repost this. And yes, I will share this, but not for the reasons that you so glibly seem to think. You could have asked. You could have done better by us. You could have shown the truth about foster care, but instead, you just jumped on the bandwagon and became the reason why people think we are worthless and not worthy of help and assistance after aging-out. My organization, Foster Care In The U.S. Inc, is a 501(c)3 that works 24/7 to house, feed, clothe and help homeless foster care youth and you just made a joke out of us and the more than 30,000+ youth who transition out of foster care into homelessness. I hope it was worth it. Did you make thousands while laughing at us? How did it feel? Are you high-fiving each other in the studio while laughing your heads off at turning our tragedy, hardship, pain and suffering, and everyday life into…benjamins? So yes, I will share. and yes, I will tell everyone exactly what the CW thinks of homeless youth who get put out of their foster homes when they are too old. At least you gave her a suitcase and not a trash bag as the foster mother shut the door in her face. Unbelievable.
