Singer/songwriter Destiny Whitaker may only be fourteen years old, but her rich musical styling boasts a maturity well beyond her years.  Whitaker has already tackled an array of songs covering various musical artists including Supernatural alum Nicki Aycox. Aycox released her debut EP, Red Velvet Room in 2015.  Whitaker offered a beautiful interpretation of Aycox’s song “My Secret.”

I make no secret about how much of a privilege I feel about being a book reviewer for The Nerdy Girl Express. I am constantly amazed by the incredible writing talent and the skill it takes to translate the seeds of one’s imagination into a book that stirs the hearts of readers. The Nerdy Girl Express allows me to share my thoughts on these books with other readers. The icing on the delightful creative cake is that I am also able to interview many of these authors that inspire me in my own creative pursuits. Because of your example, I have joined your ranks by publishing my own poetry books. I am now a published author too because you set the path of my journey. I can’t thank you enough.

Kyle Chandler hits a home run in @Bloodline via @tdmiller820917

As Cleveland Indians baseball player Jeff Metcalf in the 1940s period drama “Homefront,” Kyle Chandler hit more than a few home runs. Later, as former stockbroker turned unsung hero Gary Hobson in CBS’ “Early Edition”, Chandler often ran around the streets of Chicago desperately attempting to prevent disasters foretold by “tomorrow newspaper today” delivered to his front door every morning courtesy of a mysterious orange tabby cat. Being a hero proved to be a thankless job subjecting Gary Hobson to personal danger and suspicion. Chandler would hit another home run (and Emmy win) as determined coach Eric Taylor in the critically acclaimed series “Friday Night Lights.”  Coach Eric Taylor turned the underdog Dillon Panthers into state champions with a battle cry of “clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose.”

Lauren Graham definitely knows alot about being a fast talker. It was an attribute that became her character trademark when she portrayed lovable mom and inn owner Lorelei Gilmore in the much loved show, Gilmore Girls. Gilmore Girls fans were elated to learn that Lorelei along with many of the other beloved characters from Stars Hollow, will soon be seen again in an upcoming Gilmore Girls revival series headed to Netflix.
