When this episode opened I thought it was a cold day in Hell, but nope it was just a Quincannon family vacation in Vail. Odin skipped out and his family fell to their deaths, but these deaths drove him into madness. His family was shipped to him and he ripped open the boxes and compared their insides to the insides of a cow. When he saw no difference he called the preacher, Jesse’s father, and told him that there was no soul within either one and insisted that he go into his church and denounce God right away.
